My First Giveaway!

I was contacted by Stonyfield Farms and offered some coupons to try their organic Greek yogurt, Oikos, for free. Free organic Greek yogurt? Yes, please! And now I’m paying it forward and sharing some of my freebies to thank you for being such great readers!

Greek yogurt is yogurt that has been strained so it’s thick, high in protein and tangy. Oikos comes in some fun flavors, beyond the traditional plain and honey, like caramel and chocolate (I wish my local stores had those flavors!). It’s great eaten straight out of the container, but you can also use it as a base for dips, in baking, or as a substitute for sour cream or mayo.

I think you commented on my blog? And then I started following yours? I think that’s how it went down.

And I haven’t made them yet, but I’m planning on making the bacon cupcakes this weekend.

I found your blog through food gawker and was immediately drawn to the photo of Greek yogurt! I absolutely love the stuff and eat it every morning. My favorite combination so far is what I have dubbed “The Honey Nut Cherrios” yogurt- plain fat free Greek yogurt, cinnamon, a couple almonds and a drizzle of honey. Perfection!

I found your blog through an LJ comm. I’d like to see something done with fennel! I don’t know how exotic it is, but I only ever use it in salads and I’m sure there have to be other uses.

My ingredient request is rolled oats. Is there a different way to eat them besides just plain old oatmeal? Or oatmeal cookies? I’ve been pondering that thought today…

I found you through Photograzing and Serious Eats, as I’m seriously obsessed with that blog (and Greek yogurt, so you caught my eye.) I would love to read about more creative yet simple uses for tahini. I have a jar of it, but only used it in my oatmeal (yum) and for hummus.
