Remember those vanilla bean and honey roasted cherries that I made last week? Here’s a photo to jog your memory:

Honestly, I ate most of these with a spoon – they’re that good. Before I devoured them all though, I had a great idea. I’d been wanting to make a milkshake  for Ice Cream Week and this seemed like the perfect opportunity to make a new flavor. I threw some cherries in the blender with some vanilla ice cream and poof! Delicious milkshake. I didn’t even need any milk to thin it out – it was the perfect creamy drink.

I hope you’ve been enjoying Ice Cream Week! Check out all the other amazing ice cream recipes going up today – the links are after the recipe below.

This was brilliant! A fresh cherry milkshake sounds great, but using roasted cherries sounds out of this world.

I think I will try this recipe with my cherries I have leftover from my ice cream. Thanks for the inspiration.

Gaaaah this looks incredible! I can’t believe it’s already August and I haven’t had any cherry desserts at all. Obviously I need to remedy that stat and make this amazing milk shake!

  4. […] Ok, so maybe this isn’t entirely the healthy food I was talking about, but I’m really intrigued by the idea of roasting the cherries before whirling them into this Roasted Cherry Milkshake from 52 Kitchen Adventures. […]
