Welcome to 52 Kitchen Adventures!

Happy New Year everyone!

Over 2010, I will explore and demystify one unusual ingredient each week, ranging from strange looking produce to exotic pantry items.

Each Sunday, ingredients will be introduced with a bit of background information, traditional uses (including links to recipes) and original recipes made up in my kitchen, complete with pictures, step-by-step instructions and tips.

If you have any requests, please leave a comment or send an email. I would love to see what you’re interested in!

Actually I saw some preserved Japanese plums at the Co-op and I’ll probably do something with those one week!

Wow, how did I miss this? Cool idea, Steph! Looking forward to seeing more posts. Maybe you could do something with passionfruit? Or maybe that’s not exotic enough. It’d just be yummy.
